Making A Purchase: Making a purchase is straight forward. Just browse our tea store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Purchase' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. You may then check the details of your order and total amount, then click on 'proceed to payment' to process your payment.

Payment: We accept credit card payments via Paypal. Payment can be made with all major credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, Solo, Maestro, American Express Card payments, Switch and Delta. If you do not have a Paypal account you can open one at www.PayPal.com. These are free to set up and use when buying goods.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Security of your payment: You can safely enter your credit and debit card details to purchase items on this site in the knowledge that your personal details are secure. When you have placed an order with us we will not keep a record of your payment card details on our servers. Your payment will be processed through PayPal. (https://www.paypal.com). When you make a purchase online, all sensitive information sent between your computer and the PayPal systems is automatically encrypted with an encryption key length of 168 bits (the highest level commercially available), ensuring that your information is kept private. Your details are not held in clear text on any web site.


Postage and packing: UK orders will be sent by Royal Mail and will take between two to five working days. Postage charges are based on price bands ranging from £2.75 for orders less than £10.00 in value to £6.60 for orders over £50 in value. For orders to Europe, price bands range from £4.50 for orders upto £20.00 in value to £7.90 for orders between £20 - £50 in value. If you are outside these areas and would like to purchase Mortier's teas, please send an e-mail with your order and postal address and we will let you know the freight charges.

Delivery Policy:
We deliver your order right away. Orders will normally be dispatched within 24 hours.

Normal postal lead times are:
U.K. destinations 2 - 5 working days
Europe 3-5 days
Other destinations 5 - 10 days.

Sorry, but we cannot accept responsibility for delays in the postal system.

Lost items: Mortiers Fine Ceylon Tea cannot be responsible for items that are lost during transit when sent within the UK by Standard Royal Mail delivery.

Back Orders: Mortiers Fine Ceylon Tea will do its very best to fulfill the order you have placed. If the items you ordered are out of stock, or unavailable, we will back order for you. You will always receive an e-mail with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Personal data: We will not release your personal information to any company outside Mortier's Fine Ceylon Tea, or any group company for mailing or marketing purposes without your consent.

You should be aware that if it is requested, by the police, or any other regulatory or government authority investigating suspected illegal activities, we are obliged to provide your personal information and /or user information.

Please note that we will never ask for a customer to confirm any account or credit card details via e-mail. If you receive an e-mail claiming to be from Mortierstea.co.uk asking you to submit account or credit card details, please do not respond.

Mortier's Fine Ceylon Tea respects the right to privacy of its online visitors, and understands the importance of protecting the information collected about them. We will treat all of your personal information as confidential. We keep your information on a secure server, and we fully comply with all applicable UK Data Protection and consumer legislation.

When you shop on Mortierstea.com or Mortierstea.co.uk we will have to ask you to input personal information. As is standard with many websites, we may also collect, and our third party providers of advertisements and content may collect, information about where you are on the internet (e.g. the URL you came from, IP address, domain types like .co.uk and .com), your browser type, the country and telephone area code where your computer is located, the pages of our website that were viewed during your visit, the advertisements you clicked on, and any search terms that you entered on our website ("User Information").

In order to improve the quality of our service, this site is being monitored by us, and may capture information about your visit.
We use your information only for the following purposes:
• To process your orders.
• For statistical or survey purposes to improve our website and its services to you.
• To administer our website.

Cookies:We may use Cookies to keep track of your current shopping session, to personalise your experience and so that you may retrieve your shopping basket at any time - if you do not accept Cookies you may be unable to use elements of this Website.

Right to cancel: We want you to be totally happy with your order. If for any reason you wish to cancel your order, under the distance selling regulations, you have the legal right to do this within seven working days of receipt of the goods. When goods are delivered to a third party you will only be able to exercise this right if you are able to return the goods you ordered. Returns Policy: We hope you will be really pleased with your purchases. Should you wish to return anything bought from us, we will be happy to refund or exchange a product, provided it is new, unused and in it's original packaging. Returns should be sent back to us within 14 days of receipt and in the original, undamaged packaging. We will refund the price of the item to you, or exchange the product if an exchange has been requested, once it is received by us. A refund of the delivery charge will be given in the instance of incorrect, damaged or faulty goods.
